I Visited This Community
If you are searching for a place to retire that allows you direct access to the beauty of nature, while still living in a suburban setting--this is an excellent place to consider. There is a man-made lake, and the community rests on 60 acres of beautiful green land. Residents can even keep their own small garden if they wish. Each apartment has an outdoor area, either a patio or balcony. The kitchens have a built-in seating area which eliminates the need for a dining room table in the already cozy space. However, there are large duplexes available for those who prefer a bit more room. The facility is well-kept, and the staff is professional. The menu selections are rotated regularly, and is superior to that of most independent living communities. There are at least one or two parties or group events each month, and a list of daily activities. The options for offsite excursions could improve a bit. Residents can stay in the same community as their independence declines.
