My sister chose The Rose Garden of Orlando because they had the one-bedroom apartment that she wanted. It used to be a hotel. They combined two hotel rooms into one. One of the bathrooms became a kitchen and rest of it became the living room. The other hotel room became the bedroom and the bathroom. It worked out really nice for her. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. She likes everybody there. Lunch is the big meal of the day and dinner is a little bit lighter. If you don't like what's on the menu, you can give them an order two hours before the meal for something different. There were people playing dominos and board games when I was there. They're doing a lot of remodeling.
Plantation Oaks was very nice. I was very pleased with it. It's really lovely. The person who showed me around was very nice and informative. The dining area looked great and they offer a lot of activities like card playing, dances, and all kinds of wonderful things. They also have a library.
I went to Plantation Oaks Senior Living. I liked the friendliness, the cleanliness, how very helpful they were, and the amenities they had to offer. They have different games that the residents can do. They have night things like dances and music that they can listen to. They have puzzles and there's just a lot to keep them busy. They have church services and they have a beauty shop. The dining room is very nice because it gives you an opportunity to meet the other residents. Everybody we met was very friendly, including the staff on the floors and in the offices. I liked that part a lot because meeting the people with a smile means a whole lot. The person that showed me around the place was very helpful. I just made the appointment the day before to go meet him. The facility was very good. They were having a little bit of renovation going on and the staff told me some things that they were going to add to it. It all excited me to think that my sister might have a safe place to stay.
My father is enjoying his stay in Plantation Oaks. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the grounds are well-kept. It's also in a good location and they have plenty of activities. More importantly, the pricing is very fair.
Very old building and the rooms are similar to motel rooms with a smell of mildew. The staff is nice however the owner seems rude and shady in business practice.
The marketing gentleman at Plantation Oaks who showed us around was very good, nice, and extremely honest, but it was a refurbished, older motel, and the people there were of a different social class and different backgrounds. I would have some difficulty finding a peer group there, especially in assisted living. The room was a large motel room.
Plantation Oaks is very nice, The people who work there are extremely nice and help my dad fit in very well. It's clean, and the food and the common areas are good.
Plantation Oaks Senior Living was in a very good location in Orlando. The bathrooms were large and had more of a condominium feel, overall. I did not meet very many staff. The dining room was adequate. It was well situated for Orlando. I think they need to improve their reception. I came there on my own and felt that no one was interested in the opportunity to provide me with a tour.
I visited Plantation Oaks and liked it a lot. It would be my first choice after seeing it. I would like to do the shared room, and I like the layout and size of the rooms. I think it would work out perfect when the time comes for my husband. As far as activities, he would be in memory care, so it is not the same as assisted living. The dining area was adequate.
Plantation Oaks seemed like a nice place. They seemed to be nice people who seemed to be doing a nice job. I liked that. But when it came to getting the service for my wife, they wanted money upfront, and I don’t have the money. The community and dining area were nice and clean. The main thing I was concerned about was if my wife would be up on the one floor where they had a lot of Alzheimer’s patients. The amount of money they want is OK, but from the way I understand it, I have to bring the bed in and decorate and everything. I just don’t have that kind of cash. From what I saw, if I had the cash, I wouldn’t mind moving in myself.
