Brookdale DeLand is great, but the price was too high for us, although it's reasonable. The atmosphere of the place was very happy and everyone seemed to be really active. I like that everyone knows everybody. They didn't have any renovations to do when we were there, so their overall cleanliness was top notch.

Grand Villa of DeLand is very nice, and it looks like a hotel. I even want to move in there myself, but it's out of our price range. They have everything there in terms of amenities. The person who accommodated me was very polite, nice, and courteous, and answered all my questions without problems. The dining area looked very nice and clean.

My uncle was in Woodland Towers, and it was excellent and clean. I don't know why he left. His room was set up really nicely with a full kitchen, full bath, living area, and a little patio. He could walk to a store. They had everything there.

My uncle moved into Grand Villa. The rooms were quite drab, and I wasn't impressed. They had a swimming pool and card games, but he doesn't want to get involved. He hasn't complained about the food, but he's very unhappy there.

I visited Grand Villa of Deland. The apartments were nice, but they only had one available that's on the third floor. They have a snack bar, a happy hour, swimming pool, and so on. I just didn't like the outside look because it wasn't pretty. The apartments have stoves, which I didn't think was a good idea. There was one lady sitting at the desk and she had to go find somebody when we visited.
