The Fountains at La Cholla

My mother was in the fountains at La Cholla. They have a really big, open, airy area, and you don't get a hospital, claustrophobic feeling. The people are generally around, they come out of their apartments, go to the lobby, play games, and visit. Her apartment is not fancy because it's a rental, but it was clean, and the tiniest one. She got the same services as a resident. It's like going to a nice hotel. She liked that she had healthy dinners, she made friends right away, and realized she knew some people there.

We chose The Fountains at La Cholla because of the convenient location. The apartment has an opening to the outside since we have a dog. Also, this place is more organized than other senior places in terms of what they're doing and what they're getting done for you. The food is excellent, and the staff member who accommodated me was very helpful. They have lots of activities available, some of which we found attractive, like pool therapy and so forth.

The Fountains at La Cholla is pleasant and somewhat like a large hotel but with more personalized service. They're very cooperative as far as answering questions and considering specific requests. The rooms are well-appointed, furnished, and certainly acceptable to most anyone's tastes. They do practically everything, like exercise, and they have various groups have meetings there. They have a snack shop and everything looks very good, well-prepared, and well-presented.

The Fountains at La Cholla was good enough. We put our name on the list for an apartment. We looked at a two-bedroom, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom with a two-bath. They serve breakfast and either lunch or dinner. What comes with the basic price is the utilities and housekeeping.

Everybody is friendly at The Fountains. The staff is extremely helpful, but the neatest thing of all are the classes you can take, and the clubs you can join. It's a fantastic, learning situation. We moved into a casita, which is a small, attached house, but we're still eating at the dining hall. Everybody has a balcony, patio, or walkway so they can go out. They're running courses, playing Bridge, doing chair yoga, and there's water calisthenics all year round. There's bingo four nights a week, every Wednesday there's live entertainment, and a monthly birthday party. There's a library, two swimming pools, bocce court, cafe onsite, and a putting green. They accept dogs and cats.

We live in The Fountains at La Cholla. It's been here for 30 years, but it's very well kept. We have a very nice 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment. We get two meals a day, and it has assisted living, and memory care as well. They try very hard to give us a variety of food, we get Hispanic choices, and we have a beautiful buffet for five holidays a year, like Mother's Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. The staff is wonderful, and the staff in the dining room is outstanding. There's a beautiful lobby where we have lots of activities.
