Description of Good Care
Tucked away in a quiet residential area close to Tempe's vibrant Peterson Park district, Good Care is a small, homey community for seniors 55 years of age and older who need help with their activities of daily living. Residents enjoy convenient access to nearby amenities like the Tempe Village Shopping Center, and the city is known for its senior-accessible cultural attractions such as the Arizona Heritage Center and Butterfly Wonderland, the world's largest butterfly conservatory.
The staff at Good Care provide warm, attentive service 24 hours per day, including medication management, and registered nurses and medical doctors are on call. The facility's caregivers attend to incontinence management, glucose monitoring and insulin administration and are trained in the best practices for dementia and Alzheimer's care. Respite and hospice care are available.
Seniors at Good Care can spend time outdoors in the enclosed backyard or with the community's residential pets. Year-round birthday and holiday celebrations give residents the opportunity to socialize in a festive atmosphere, while the on-site beautician helps seniors keep up with their hair, beauty and nail care. Laundry and linen service is available, and three home-cooked meals, which can be adjusted to accommodate vegetarian diets, are served each day.
