Help me understand Hospice

One of the great myths of hospice is that it is a place. Hospice is not a place, it is the care and compassion a specialized team offers by reaching out to support you on your journey when you are diagnosed with a terminal illness. Cedar Hospice will help you live your life to the fullest, and help you and your family with the many questions and concerns that come at the end-of-life.

Cedar Hospice's care team is there to provide care and compassion in your home, whether that is a private residence, assisted living apartment or skilled nursing home.

The Cedar Dream Team

Cedar Hospice has formed the Cedar Dream Team, caring staff members who help identify current patients' wishes or dreams and then endeavor to make them come true. Sometimes patients on their hospice journey wish they could visit a special place or see a friend or relative one more time – but neither have the means to cover travel expenses. The Cedar Dream Team will consider the request and, when possible, make a donation to help make it happen.
