Description of Seniors Helping Seniors
Seniors Helping Seniors® in home services is an exceptional program of caring and care. It is a unique program which matches active seniors who want to help with seniors who are looking for help.
You deserve to have someone in your life who really wants to help. Whether it's mowing the lawn, taking you to a doctor's appointment, going shopping, helping with the mail, cleaning, cooking or even changing a light bulb or other simple home maintenance, our helpers are there because they really want to be. They're more than just a provider of service, they become your friend.
Our helpers are available any day, any hour of the week. If you have a situation that requires other kinds of support than those listed, just ask. We can help each person stay independent and stay at home by providing essential services including:
- Light Housekeeping
- Meal Preparation
- Doctor Appointments
- Yard Work
- Home Maintenance and Small Repairs
- Personal Grooming and Dressing
- Mobility Assistance
- Dementia/Alzheimer's Care
- Respite Care
- . . . and much more!
Care Provider Supervision and Training
Our providers are all seniors themselves, with quite a bit of living under their belts. They have a lifetime of experience to draw upon and they are able to handle most any situation with dignity and poise. We go through a multi-step hiring process and all new care providers are put through a rigorous interview process. We follow up with calls to references and former employers, and we do a thorough criminal background check. All of our employees are fully bonded and insured, and they work under home office support
Care Receiver's Bill of Rights
Our business is guided by Christian principles and we feel a moral and ethical duty to adhere to a comprehensive Bill of Rights that guides the interaction between our care providers and our care receivers. Each care receiver is given a copy of our Bill of Rights and we explain how this document governs our actions and provides receivers with personal protections and freedoms. We believe that each and every person who is involved with Seniors Helping Seniors (r) services must be treated and must also treat others with compassion, empathy and kindness.
