Filthy, management plays favorites, management lies to rent too you, not safe, a lot of bullying and goes unrecognized, no updates/renovations since opening but the prices rise, a lot of clicks too include with management, the people bite their tongues on truths as to not have management make up a reason to try and kick you out! It's a travesty that you cannot live in peace, especially when you bring a ton to the community and are taken for granted.

This is a horrible facility to place a loved one. The sales pitch was wonderful, but it all changed after we moved my mom in. House keeping was terrible. They say it’s done twice a week but we didn’t find that to be the case. We had to hound them to get it done. The toilet in her room rarely flushed. They rarely supplied toilet paper, tissue or paper towels. We’d have to ask for them when we visited. We were told they had a podiatrist that visited twice a month. Well, my mom’s feet looked horrible. Low and behold, no podiatrist. They said nursing would handle it but we ended up doing it ourselves because it didn’t get done. My mom developed severe edema while at Brookdale. This wasn’t their fault, but why didn’t they notice all the open sores on her legs when they showered her once a week? We had to get a wound care specialist because of their neglect. Lots of oven fried to death chicken strips are a standard meal. I never saw a meal that I’d serve in my home. Management is full of excuses but doesn’t ever seem to have an action plan to remedy a situation. They are also terrible at returning phone calls. All of this comes with a pretty high price tag. You should be able to expect excellent care, clean room, clean clothes, toilets that work, decent food, and responsive management. I will say that Stacey the receptionist is outstanding. But sadly that isn’t enough to overcome management that is lazy and complacement.

The apartments at Revel Spokane were very beautiful and very nice. They had a lot of good amenities. They had a library, cafeteria, pool, patio, craft room, and barber shop or salon. The café also had a little snack area. They also go on tours together. We were offered a meal there but we really didn't have the time. The only complaint I have was that we didn't know the cost going in and it is quite expensive. The staff told us about a certain amount for the first person, and then later disclosed that it's $500 for the second person. That blew our minds. I thought to myself: if they can't tell us the truth from the very beginning, we won't do this. Information should have been up front and it wasn't. It was one woman that gave us the initial information and another woman, who gave us the tour, was very nice, efficient, answered all our questions and told us about the additional costs.

I found Brookdale Nine Mile for my parents. It's been good other than my dad passed away after they'd been there less than a week. They've taken excellent care of my mother, they've been great, and I can't say enough good about them. They've really bent over backwards to help her through this, especially with the pandemic going on. It's a smaller facility, and the care is really good because they're not spread out. The activities are much more limited than they would be in a normal situation, so she gets bored. For the most part, it's going pretty well. She moved to a smaller room, because they have a separate wing of the facility for the newer, incoming residents so they can be quarantined. Once she moved to the other room she was able to walk in the hallway while wearing a mask and keeping her distance. They have a crafts room and a library.

We visited Brighton Court for my dad. He's in between assisted living and memory care, so he needs too much work for assisted living. They were going to charge him an exorbitant amount of money, which would be pretty much the same he would be charged for memory care; he doesn't have enough for that. Their definition of assisted living is giving them medication, and that's about it. Their memory care is better, but their assisted living didn't have a nice program even though it had nice facilities. I wasn't impressed with the people there either. It's a beautiful community and well-maintained. It's all on one level, which is a big plus for people with mobility issues. The only staff member I met was the one who gave me the tour and she looked like she wasn't really interested in anything, and that set the tone for the rest of the staff there. I didn't really see any staff members doing anything during my visit there, except in the memory care. She answered my questions but they were vague because I was specifically asking about pricing, and she gave me a range. She wasn't really interested in answering the questions and acted like I was bothering her.

My first impression of Brighton Court was that it's nice looking. The rooms were small, and we were looking for two bedrooms, but they didn't have that. The rooms we saw were clean. They had apartments but everything was very small. The rooms would be very open so that they'd have to let the eating area in. The staff that we met was very nice. I was really interested in this community because it looked like a nice place. It had a good overall feeling when I was there. They had a printed calendar of activities for the residents. The building was nice as well.

Fairwinds – Spokane was a very nice facility, and the people were very nice. It was a little bit more updated, more like you're walking into a nice hotel. The person who helped us was very nice and thorough. The place seemed very clean.

My visit to Harvard Park was perfect. The apartment was beautiful. The place was active and there were people being active in it. They have activities in the hallways, they have a senior bus, food available 24 hours a day, snacks in the hallway, and they have a dog and a bird. They were nothing but nice, friendly, and sincere people. They offer friends and family free meals the first month they come in there, which is really nice, so they can come and visit you and see the whole kit and caboodle and not get charged. That's an awfully nice gesture. The staff was the best, knowledgeable, honest, and forthright. The food was delicious and they bring your seconds if you want. They have four choices for lunch and three for dinner. The food is also available all day long. I'd live there. It's a good place and it's the best place in Spokane.
