Welcome to Sentara Woodview! Sentara Woodview has been an active participant in the life of the community since 1983 and is home to nearly 200 residents needing either rehabilitation or long-term care.
We believe that our residents and their families deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and compassion and we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care possible.
Our staff practices person-centered and resident-directed care and recognizes that each resident is an individual with his or her own life story, beliefs and needs and is entitled to live a safe and comfortable life as independently as possible.
We recognize the importance of quality-of-life in successful aging and believe that the promotion of concepts and beliefs of wellness are critical to aging successfully. This challenges us to see the individual's health status through the eyes of wellness instead of relating it to illness or disability. This approach to promoting the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social well-being of the individual requires a collaborative effort among the resident, the family members, the community and the healthcare providers. Hence, all of these individuals become partners in promoting a high quality of care and quality of life.
