Description of Sandy Health and Rehab
Sandy Regional Care Center provides short- and long-term assisted living and rehabilitation services. Various types of therapy are available, including speech, physical and occupational. Skilled nursing helps seniors with recovery and transition from hospital to home, while the assisted living option provides long-term assistance and care in a homelike setting.
Authentic Navajo dishes are served in the restaurant-style dining room and snacks are provided. All cuisine is approved by a registered dietician, and there are options available for residents with special dietary needs. There's an on-site gym with fitness equipment where residents can do cardio, strength and flexibility training.
Amenities at Sandy Regional Care Center include a comfortably furnished lounge with flat-screen TV and a computer area. Residents can participate in an assortment of scheduled activities, which are designed to provide mental, physical and social enrichment.

My husband is beyond assisted living, so we chose Sandy Regional Care Center. It's a very nice facility. They involve him in activities when he is able. They're on top of his medications. We have a hospice nurse going in as well. We've been very pleased. It's pretty much a typical skilled nursing facility room. He's got a room for two, which is semi-private and a little cramped. They have larger rooms and when they have one available, we'll move in to one of those. The food is great. The staff is very caring. I've only attended one activity, which was a musical activity and really good. Because he falls a lot, they were very helpful in moving him right by the nurses' station. It's set up in a way that they could pretty much see the whole hallway from where they're at and see what's going on, so I've been very pleased with that. They keep me posted on every change or every event that happens.
