This facility offers a complete balance of social, physical, and mental health care while providing spiritual fulfillment and a family style home. This one of a kind assisted living facility is complete with everything needed for seniors to have a complete and healthy life. Beautifully decorated, landscaped, and clean inside and out, this is a wonderful facility to call home. The Village of Incarnate Word provides excellent care. The well trained caregivers provide patience, kindness, and respect to all of their residents and families. Some of the services here include: memory care, physical and occupational therapy, chapel services, and transportation services. Moreover, there is a fitness center, media room, and activity room available so that residents can be fully engaged. The activities at the assisted living facility include both on site and off site events, volunteer opportunities, parties, dinner, social events, religious functions, field trips to the zoo, and much more. Many activities here do require a nominal fee. However, the on-site activities are usually free. The activity director tries to keep everyone involved. The caregivers also look after the social aspect of the residents and encourage participation. Teamwork is seen throughout this facility as staff enriches the body, mind, and spirit of each resident. This is an upbeat environment with warm staff members who enjoy caring for their residents. The food is hot, tasty, and offers a balanced meal plan with lots of extras. These extras include snacks, fruits, and desserts. The dietitian takes into consideration the dietary restrictions of the residents during meal selection. When I visited, the residents were having a party and playing games. Lots of smiles were seen from the residents as I passed them in the hallway. I also like that many residents were sitting in the lounging area talking with family and friends. Upon entry, the facility may appear to be dull. However, once you meet the staff and residents, you will find that this is a warm, family home with lots of activities, amenities, and excellent health care. This facility is good for seniors needing assistance with activities of daily living and desiring a fulfilled life.

This is a great place for people who have specific spiritual needs as they age. They have a thriving community education program that is free to the residents and a heated pool! Great location in the center of town.
