I Am/Was A Resident Of This Facility

Madison Estates is fine. My apartment is really nice, big, and everything works. I have a bedroom and living room with a kitchenette off of it. There's a cleaning service that comes once a week. I'm used to eating better. The dining area is great and big but they don't have enough waitresses, and it takes a while to get your food. They have all kinds of activities like bingo, dominoes, card games, swimming pool, and an exercise program. The staff is really nice.

I'm living at Madison Estates. They have transportation, meals, they take care of the linens, and do some housekeeping. They also have exercise classes if you want to participate. The place is very clean, organized, and it looks like you're stepping into a lobby of a hotel. Everybody has been great, pleasant, and they bend over backwards sometimes to make sure that you get everything that you need. Sometimes when I'm tired, I call in and they'll deliver my meal. The food is delicious. I have not been disappointed with anything. They have stuff going on all the time, they're very organized, and they want to keep the people as active as possible. It's a little more expensive than I had first thought.

We toured Madison Estates. Tey have a very trained staff, they offer three meals a day for those that have rooms there. They also have buses that will take people to Walmart, and different places during the week if they need to go. They have a swimming pool. Other than that they seemed to have a spirit about them, so we’ve been pulled in that direction. The meal was very good, they have about three different choices that you can make for each meal, and the food was very tasty. The staff was very pleasant, willing to walk with us, show us what they had, and they were very informative.

We didn't really care for Madison Estates. They had some electrical problems and the air conditioning wasn't working at that time, so we weren't real pleased with that one. The atmosphere was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The apartment we looked at was way too small for what we wanted. The food was very good. They treated us to a meal. The staff was very nice. The facility was very clean, and the dining room was very nice.

Madison Estates was nice, clean, and very pretty. I would like to go there if I could afford it. The few staff I met were very nice, very kind, very caring, very informative, and gave me a lot of information. I was very impressed. The apartments were small but very nice and very clean, and in excellent condition. They have a very good maintenance program. People who live there tell me they're very happy and like it a lot.

Madison Estates was a nice place but a bit older. They had a nice place for my dog. I felt comfortable. All the people I talked to were nice. It would have been a pretty nice place to stay. The first time I visited, they didn't know I was coming so I had to wait for someone assigned to give me the tour to finish working.

I have visited Madison Estates and saw their one-bedroom apartment. It didn't seem to be very well maintained. It was dark, dated, and depressing. The staff seemed friendly and involved, but they had so many people, so they didn't seem as involved with the residents. They didn't have that many choices on their daily menu compared to the place we chose. They had some activities but since there's so many people, the opportunities for you to participate would be very low if you don't get there early. They had a room for when people come in and sing and dance or put on a show, but it was very small. So again, if we didn't get there earlier, we wouldn't be able to see anything.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

Unprofessional, uncaring management team who could care less about the concerns and needs of their residents. Complaints are not handled and require corporate involvement in order to resolve resident issues. Family members of residents that try to facilitate resolution through corporate channels are viewed as troublemakers and are flagged. There is a extremely high turnover rate for management. The decent professional caring employees who should be in this industry never last long due to the self serving attitudes of higher management team, which in my opinion have NO business being in this industry. I am not a disgruntled employee but a family member of a current resident. I am currently looking at other options.

Our visit to Madison Estates was informative. I was pleased with what was given to us. The apartments that we saw were clean, nice, and bright. Everything was pretty well taken care of. The only social activity we saw was a luncheon gathering. I was surprised that the average age was in the 80s, but they did not look that old. I liked what I saw, but I did not see everything.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

My brother and I and my dads close friend "Betti" chose Madison Estates for our father whom just turned 84 when he moved in September 27th 2014. Our dad has been a widow for a year and a half and had lived in the same house with our mom for 48 years. Our dad was very reluctant to moving any where. My brother and Betti visited a couple other facilities and was very pleased with the facility and leasing staff at Madison. Deann (Deborah Gloria) was very helpful in getting our dad an apartment at Madison. She told us it takes some residents 90 days to adapt. I think it took my dad a little over a month for him to be adapted with the routine of eating in the dining room and the shopping trips and the assistance from the front desk. I live in Houston and visited a week ago and everyone from housekeeping on up was very nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend Madison Estates.

This is an excellent community. When you walk in it is beautiful and the lobby itself is great. The only negative thing I would say is that the square footage of the units could be bigger.
