Chateau McKinney

I haven't moved into The Chateau just yet, but I visited it. Everybody was really nice and friendly. They showed me around and took me on a tour. They gave some food to take home to eat to try out their food. I just like it so well, that's why I'm moving. I saw a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom; I like the layout really well. Everything was very clean. They showed me the craft room, the fitness room, and the movie theater. We walked outside and everything just looked really nice.

The Chateau was very nice. The staff was very nice and they showed me the different rooms, dining facilities, and exercises. It was a good tour. The studios were too small, but they also had apartments available.

The Chateau was very nice and looked more like a resort than a senior living center. Everyone there was really nice and the residents often were having a good time doing different things. The apartments were really nice as well. I loved the grounds. They had a swimming pool, a gazebo, and so on. The staff who assisted me during the tour was wonderful. I had a lot of questions and they answered everything and also called me. I saw some of the food that was being prepared. I loved the structure of the place ad its great layout.

The Chateau is excellent and beautiful. I looked at a beautiful one-bedroom. The young man who showed us around was wonderful and terrific. He's very business-like and efficient but very friendly. He's one of the best I've ever met. They had different things like card games and Wii bowling, a movie theater, and trips to different places when you need to go. They serve three meals a day.

The independent living at The Chateau was right for us. We liked the meals, utilities and housekeeping, parking, guest accommodations, and the community fees that we liked. The rent is a little bit high. The single and double occupation was permitted. The security was good, but it was close to the high traffic area. It was all inclusive except for the satellite bill. The amenities were pretty standard. They had bus drivers, kitchenettes as opposed to kitchens, and handrails in the bathroom, but no washer and dryer hook-ups. We had appliances that were provided.

The Chateau is newer and a little more updated. It was very clean and very well-maintained. The staff was wonderful, very pleasant. They provided lunch for us and the food was excellent. I liked the openness of the facility. The hallways are very wide and sometimes the residents put some of their furniture out decoratively, and that was really nice. It speaks to the safety of the place, because it's truly like a home. They had a nice pool and they offered water aerobics. They have rehab people on-site from a home health clinic, and a dentist, and an orthopedist office. That was pretty impressive. The rooms have lovely carpets, window blinds, and have very new and updated appliances.
