Sitting two blocks west of the Royal Oaks Country Club with easy access to Beltway 8, The Abbey at Westminster Plaza is a luxury retirement community nestled on eight acres of meticulously landscaped grounds. With the addition of 144 luxury independent living apartments in 2013, our community has grown to offer a full range of senior living options including assisted living and memory care.
The Abbey at Westminster Plaza is owned and operated by a Texas family that boasts over 60 years of industry experience. Dedicated to Mrs. Ottis Lake, our community is the realization of a lifelong dream to provide a home for those in need of nursing care and give them the best care possible.

Our recently constructed deluxe independent living homes are built to modern standards and feature granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, ceiling fans, hardwood floors, a well-equipped kitchen and full-size washer/dryer. Assisted living homes are available in studio and one-bedroom floor plans and come with private bathrooms.
In keeping with offering truly luxury retirement living, our community is home to a sports lounge, indoor heated swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and fireplace, home theater and computer center. Express your creative side in our arts and crafts studio or hammer out a project in our woodworking shop. We also have an on-site general store and beauty salon for added convenience.

For seniors in need of an extra helping hand with life's daily chores, our assisted living and memory care community is staffed around-the-clock with professional caregivers who are able to help with housekeeping, laundry, medications and other personal tasks. I visited this facility
The Abbey at Westminster Plaza was very nice, up to date, and clean. The prices were higher than anything else I looked at, but it was a very nice place. The apartment that they showed me was very nice. It's a long way from Katy, and since my daughter lives in Katy, it would be a long drive for her. The room that I saw was nice and really close to the restaurant on the first floor looking out onto the patio. It would have been perfect to let the dogs out there. They showed me a room that was right across from the area where I could put all my stuff. The staff members were very accommodating and great.

I am in the independent living of The Abbey. We have our own caregivers. The food is good, and the value over the price was very good.
