Haywood Estates is absolutely wonderful. It is a great place to move into. The people look very happy. They accommodate a man who is 104, and I met a couple of women who are 98. The amenities are just spot on. They're very nice. The apartments are different sizes depending on what you can afford. They're well planned so you have some private space for yourself, and yet you have some space that is not quite as private if people are in the room. They have many activities. They have something that would appeal to everyone. The food is five stars. Everything is very nice.

My father is at Haywood Estates. They go out of their way to be kind to you, and they are the only place that offered a trial period for my dad, including meals without charge. I appreciated the kindness of the staff. It's a nice, friendly community, and it's a very positive experience. The food is very good, and the chef that works for them is rated one of the very best in the upstate of South Carolina. They had a very good food meal plan and delicious food.

We went to Haywood Estates. It was a pleasant visit. The rooms were fine and livable but they're not like living at home. They were reasonably spacious and definitely clean. The food was pretty good. The staff members were very friendly. The facilities were adequate.

I was not happy with the parking at Haywood Estates. It was hard to find a spot, but the woman I spoke with was very nice and spent time with me. I enjoyed the initial visit. I liked the eating area and just the openness of it. It looked large and light. The apartments and the activities were comparable to all the other places I visited. They had games there. I just felt that it was a little old. I was happy with all the staff, which is why we were considering it. The experience was good.

Haywoood Estates is newer, but a drawback for us is it’s a long way out of town, we don’t like city driving, and it’s hard to get in and out of there. We were just royalty there, the people seemed to act younger, but it was a little off-putting to me. They make the residents feel as if they're on a cruise, and even the cafeteria looks like a cruise ship dining line. We were favorably impressed and came close to reserving an apartment there. It was a wonderful apartment, it was a strange ship, and it had curved exterior wall with windows looking out toward the woods. It was an end room, and it was right about the outside exit, which would have been wonderful because we have dogs. What’s nice was, you can stay in any of their communities when you travel. You can choose your décor and they will redo it for you.
