The best way to get to know a community is by scheduling a tour. See the facilities, meet the staff and residents, and get a feel first hand what it's like to live at Greenville Place Assisted Living.
The rooms at Greenville Place were very nice, spacious, and very clean. When we were there, there were some ladies waiting for a minister for Bible study. Some of them were also doing a puzzle, and it seemed like everybody was active. The staff was very good. They had an area where people could cook, like a kitchen area for when they had parties. So for some residents who like to cook, they can go in there and cook. They also had a nice area where they were playing live music.
Greenville was beautiful, very nice, and appealing. They may have a lock-in care unit, but they were not mixed with the residents. They didnt have an opening, so it was really a waste of time, but it was a very nice place. The food was very good.
My parents have been in Greenville Place for less than two months. So far, it has been good. They have been very kind to us. It's a good location because it is right off Pelham Road and easy to get to. The place is clean, and it's a nice community. They have a courtyard with porches that they can sit on and other seating areas around. They didn't have the two-bedroom with a kitchennette, so my parents are in a one-room, but we were able to put two recliners and a full-size bath. There's my mom's hospital bed, a small desk, a television, two nice closets, and a small refrigerator. It's sufficient for what we need for them. The food is good, too.
Greenville Place was nice, but the rooms were very small. That was the determining factor to not put my mom there. I noticed some folks doing activities. Their facilities and the people there were nice. They had a separate place to hang out, play cards, and things like that, so it was nice. When I went there, the lady I was supposed to see wasn't there, so someone else gave me the tour. She did a good job.
