Websites making it to the finalist round will be judged by a panel of senior living industry leaders
Seattle, WA – March 5, 2012 – SeniorHomes.com, the most comprehensive resource for seniors and their families searching for senior care or housing, has announced finalists in its second annual Best of the Web Awards. The SeniorHomes.com 2012 Best of the Web contest aims to identify the most valuable resources across the web for seniors, caregivers and industry professionals in numerous categories. Finalists were chosen based on popular vote in each of ten total categories. Finalists will be judged by a panel of leading experts in the senior living industry.
In total, more than 450 nominations were received earning more than 6,500 votes overall.
“We’re thrilled with the progress of this year’s contest,” says Chris Rodde, CEO of SeniorHomes.com. “We’ve built upon the success of last year’s awards with new categories and longer nomination and voting timeframes and the response from the community has been tremendous. Overall, we’ve more than doubled the total nominees and votes from last year.”
“Hundreds of nominees were submitted from industry professionals, seniors and caregivers across the nation. Each and every nominee brings a valuable piece of the senior care puzzle to the Web, and each and every one deserves recognition,” says Rodde. “It’s been incredible to watch these nominees come in. We’re finding out about some amazing resources, and we’re excited to be able to share our results with the industry.”
