Description of Life Force Elder Care
We specialize in live-in caregivers!
A live-in caregiver stays 24 hours with your loved one and assists with all the activities of daily living (ADL).
Activities of daily living (ADL) include:
- Getting dressed
- Dealing with incontinence / diapers
- Ambulating / walking
- Lifting / pivoting / transferring
- Getting in and out of bed, etc.
Our caregivers also will assist with instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) which include:
- Light housekeeping
- Meals preparation
- Medications reminder
- Grocery shopping
- Pet care
Question: Why is a live-in caregiver a superior solution for your needs?
Answer: For three significant reasons, as explained below.
- A live-in caregiver is more affordable.
We charge a flat daily rate for a 24-hour live-in caregiver. Compare that with the hourly rates of other providers and you will see the savings.
- A live-in caregiver is more dependable.
Given the fact that the live-in caregiver will stay with your loved one 24 hours a day, you have less reason to worry. A live-in caregiver will give you the peace of mind that your loved one is not left alone unattended.
- A live-in caregiver is more flexible.
When a caregiver stays 24 hours with your loved one, that caregiver is able to provide the assistance your loved one needs as needed and when needed in the 24-hour cycle. This flexibility is not available with caregivers who work only a certain number of hours during the day in the client’s home.
Our caregivers are hand-picked and undergo thorough background checks, screening, testing and interviewing. This process includes but is not limited to:
- Criminal B/G checks (Federal and state)
- Drug and alcohol screening
- TB screening
- Child abuse clearance
- Adult abuse clearance (where applicable)
- References screening
- Extended 10-year driving record check.
Insurance for your protection
All our caregivers are bonded and insured. Our general and professional liability insurance is designed to protect our clients from claims arising out of the performance of our caregivers in the client’s home. Our workers compensation insurance covers injuries or illnesses sustained by the caregiver while working.
Free needs assessments
You can call us anytime for a free, no-obligation needs assessment visit at the location of your choice. We can develop a customized care plan at your request.
Free transportation for caregivers
In addition to all of the above, our company vans will bring the caregivers to your door and also take them home when their assignment ends at no charge to you. This service is designed to insure the dependability of the caregivers arrival and departure to and from the clients’ homes.
We accept checks and credit cards. We also will work with any long-term care insurance company if your loved one has a long-term care policy.
