My mother and I like Bellingham. They have activities, and her room is nice. They have a library and a dining hall. The food is pretty good. They're very helpful.
Bellingham has everything on its campus. My mom was in that facility and it was nice and convenient. They have nurses on-staff 24-hours a day and they have doctors. All their medical help was there, especially in the assisted living portion. It has separate buildings and it looked like a complex. They have little townhouses. You can have individual living, but you can have help come in to help you with your pills as well. They have an outside barbecue every weekend. All the staff members I met with were very pleasant, very professional, very caring, and took care of the residents. I was quite impressed. The food was good. Their chefs were very good. They have a lot of activities like Bingo, movie nights, games, and painting classes. They keep them active. The prices were very reasonable at the time. She was in the independent living, but she had her own nurse who fed her, made sure she got her pills, and helped her bathe.
Bellingham was great. Everything was incorporated into this one unit, and you can go from one place to another without going out, which was a great setup. However, it was purely senior living, and we'd have to secure our own medical personnel. The staff was top rate and had everything in order. The food and menu were perfect.
Thank you for sharing your review of Bellingham, Emmett! We appreciate your feedback!
My mother, Beatrice S. was a recent resident at Park Lane. Everyone was just great. Her therapy sessions were excellent. The activities were wonderful, nice variety, impressed how they try to get everyone to the activities and to participate and the different themes and decorations to go with the theme constantly. Also impressed of how accessible the management staff was. A great place.
Thank you so much for sharing your confidence in us! We appreciate your feedback and we're so pleased that your mother enjoyed her stay here with us!
the facilities are just OK but my real issue is price increases. My mother is in memory care and over the past 4 years they have increased prices from 5 to 8 % a year, This year they just increased the base cost to 6215 ( 4.4% increase) and began to charge for incontinence supplies ($195 or another 3.3% increase). Total increase 7.7%. If you have a parent there it is not practical to move them so you are stuck. think of the long term practices of this provider before you pick them.

Our experience with Bellingham was pretty good. The community itself was really very nice. Our relative was only there for a month. I thought it could have been a little bit more supportive of her; she felt like a fish out of water. However, it was beautiful and very well maintained. The dining was acceptable. I thought they needed a better job in integrating their residents into the community.
Bellingham was good, though a little dated. The person that I met was lovely and very helpful. The dining room was cleaned that day because there was some kind of a virus going around. The rooms were dated and needed to be updated.

The independent living clients of Bellingham had this large dining room that was just lovely. It was clean, and the hallways were wide and well lit. My mother uses a walker, so having bright lighting, and clean and wide hallways without lots of physical obstruction is important for people that have ambulatory issues. They need to have a space, so that they can navigate safely and I felt that it was present there. The marketing director was gracious and answered all of our questions. However, the place was pretty typical and nothing really stood out to make them that exceptional of a place.

Bellingham is a gorgeous facility on a large campus with various levels. I visited with the marketing director. There were lots of activities going on. For their assisted living, they had a dining room in the lower level that was different than the dining rooms for their independent living clients. I didn't feel that their staff was quite on the ball the way they needed to be. As I was touring through, there was an ambulatory resident that clearly had cognition issues who made her way down around and out the door, which clearly she should not have been. She should have been under more supervision. A staff member had to run after her. There were issues with the elevators, too, which happens. I was shown an apartment of a gentleman who just moved out of there. I can't believe the marketing director showed me this place. She said they're going to paint it, but it just smelled of urine and the bathroom was dirty. I crossed them off my list. The reception area was beautiful with fresh flowers, and it's beautifully appointed, but when you get down and you start seeing other areas of the facility, you'll start to have questions. It looked very welcoming, the grounds were big and beautiful and it looked clean overall, but there were big differences on how some of the residents were managed.
