Sunrise of Lafayette Hill was modern. The rooms were very nice, but small for what I was looking for. It wouldn't accommodate my father's needs. The facility was very nice. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. They spoke to me when we walked around. They had games and outings. The dining room was very nice, had a good view, there was lots of sunlight, and it was very inviting.
I really like Sunrise of Lafayette Hill, but it is off my list because of the fact that it is expensive. I was very impressed with it though. The tour was wonderful. The community was bright, airy, very open, and had huge windows. The people that I met seemed very friendly and happy. The residents seemed very vibrant. They were very nice to me and showed me around. They have independent living also, and they have some 1-bedrooms and some studios.
Sunrise of Lafayette Hill was personal care and assisted living. It's gorgeous. Pricing was more a la carte than a flat fee, so if you need more help, then that's more money per month. It's very pretty with a great layout. They had a dining room, cafe, activities, and it looked more like a big house inside with a staircase and a living room with TVs. It's not institutional-looking like some of them. The caregivers seemed very nice and knew what they're talking about. The menus were beautiful. The grounds were pretty, and they had a little dog that lived there who roams around. I think they can have pets in their rooms, but they charge extra. I would recommend it if people can afford it.
