Offering several levels of care based on the personal needs and desires of each resident, Friends Home in Kennett is conveniently located near Longwood and Avondale, with a variety of local amenities and services less than a mile away. Our community is unique because we have been a fixture of the community for more than 100 years.
Friends Home in Kennett is a nonprofit senior living community whose beginning dates to 1898 when a group of Quakers came together to serve seniors. Our community includes Linden Hall, which offers skilled nursing services, Jackson and Walton buildings where our independent living residents live and the Main building where we offer assisted living apartments.

We have apartments in various sizes and floor plans, many of which feature full kitchens or kitchenettes, spacious closets and individually-controlled thermostats. Residents have the opportunity to take part in a variety of engaging and fun activities throughout the year, including Friday movie nights, bingo, pet visits and bingo. For dining options, we provide restaurant-style meals in the community dining room. The meal plan for assisted living residents includes three meals, while our independent living residents are treated to one meal.

Convenient transportation services are offered for residents who want to go shopping, reach medical appointments or even run errands. All of our residences receive routine housekeeping services, as well as personal laundry and linen services.
As the needs of our residents change, Friends Home in Kennett is well equipped to provide whatever services are required. We provide skilled nursing services at Linden Hall, where individuals recovering from surgery or other ailments are cared for by our attentive, 24-hour nursing staff.

I visited this facility
Friends Home in Kennett showed me all the rooms that they have, but there's only a couple that were available. Their rooms were very small, so I didn't care for those. They seemed to have a lot going on for the patients. The patients seemed to be happy there. They were not too talkative, but they were playing cards, playing games, and working on puzzles. They were socializing. The person who took me around knows all of them by their first name. They joked around, and they teased one another. The staff members were very polite and very nice. They treated the patients quite well. Well, the patients welcomed us to come in and looked at their apartment. It was good because you can see that even though the apartment was small, they had fixed it up personally to suit themselves, and they were nice. I can't really find anything wrong with Friends Home.
