About Jane C. Hamil, LCSW, CMC
I have served metro Atlanta families for twenty-plus years, specifically residents of northeastern sections of the city. In addition, I often work with families long-distance, helping them by phone or email with Atlanta relatives, either advising them or referring them to other GCM professionals across the country.
I grew up with parents who were caregivers by nature, holding positions of responsibility in the church. My lifetime professional experience has been in the area of family function: family and marriage counseling, teaching at the college level, school social work and elder care.
My academic work includes a baccalaureate in education, followed by a master’s degree in social work, both earned at the University of Utah. Since then I have held the CFP certification in financial planning; been licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia (LCSW); and have earned the Care Manager Certified (CMC) designation through the national certifying board.
Clinical social work training and preparation has provided me with the skills to recognize and work with family dynamics, the normal and diseased health of aging, the resources available to the elderly and disabled, and the interviewing experience necessary to effect change with families and individuals seeking my help.
