Shawnee Memory Care

Shawnee Memory Care offers a residential program specializing in the care and support of individuals in varying stages of Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. Our mission is to enrich the lives of our residents through kindness, compassion and a thorough understanding of the challenges that memory loss presents.

Our unique community was designed with our residents in mind, providing an atmosphere that is inviting and comfortable for both you and your loved one. Upon visiting, you will be greeted by our warm front desk team and invited to come in to experience our beautiful environment.

We are highly aware of the unique physical, emotional, and social needs of seniors with dementia and other memory impairments and how the environment can play an important role in meeting these needs. Our Memory Care design provides gracious living in a comfortable atmosphere. The amenities and conveniences were designed with seniors' unique needs in mind, enhancing residents' lifestyles and allowing the freedom to enjoy life.

Safety features such as low-pile carpeting and non-slip flooring can be found in many areas of the community. The building was specifically designed with a designated storm shelter providing a safe and protected environment.

Entrances, hallways and common areas are monitored by close circuit television camera.

Our community is secured with delayed egress doors which will allow caregivers and team to be notified if a resident exits without an escort.

Our residents become like family to us, therefore we designed our community to have the feeling of home where residents may enjoy time with their children, posterity and friends.

Our Private Dining Room enables residents to enjoy family meals and private celebrations. Multi-generational activities will encourage guests of all ages to experience and celebrate family life.

We facilitate family groups which provide support, help to inform and educate families on how to deal with the challenges dementia and Alzheimer’s represent.
