I Visited This Community
Brookdale seemed like a close-knit community. The rooms were comparable in size and appearance with the other places I visited. The residents looked happy. The staff was really good; we didn’t have an appointment, and they said it was OK. They answered the questions we had, were trying to keep the people busy, and had a board of activities.

I Visited This Community
I liked Brookdale Oklahoma City South, but my mom wanted to stay in Mcalester. When her Alzheimer's gets worse, I will move her into this place. It does not smell like a hospital nor does it smell bad. The director seemed very nice and very knowledgeable. The place seemed clean. The area that mom would be in eventually is in another building across the street for demetia patients. They had bingo and different puzzles everywhere.
