I visited Spring Hills Singing Woods and I was really happy with everything there. The staff seemed genuine and professional. They had a classification for different ways to handle memory care residents; they had flowers for each type of person so they would know what works best with each person they're taking care of. I was pretty impressed with that. The place itself is really nice and large, and you can go outside to a fenced-in courtyard. The doors are open every day and they can go outside. Everybody there is nice, and the rooms were updated, but they said they'll update them again. The carpets and everything in this place was top notch. During every holiday they have something for the relatives of the patients, like a picnic going on. I don't think this place is run by a corporation, which is a big plus. I also saw a library there. The place was all planned out and I was impressed. The rooms at the memory care unit were all pretty much standard 1-bedrooms that were pretty large. They had their own restroom and shower.
We were very impressed with Spring Hills Singing Woods because of the daytime programs they had for the residents. I think it's the most impressive range of activities we've ever seen. The woman who showed us around was very knowledgeable, responsible, and insightful. I was impressed by her. She's genuine and not just trying to make a sales pitch. I have nothing bad to say about her.

We found Spring Hills Singing Woods for Mom and she's scheduled to move in sometime this month. We liked it the best. They had a one-year Medicaid private pay policy which was acceptable to us and that worked for us financially. They have an end-of-life facility so when she moves in, she stays where she is unless she reaches a point where they legally cannot care for her. Either that or if she requires some kind of medical treatment that they're not legally authorized to give. Otherwise, they do everything that they can do to keep her in her unit so she doesn't have to move again. The people were very nice and they continue to be very nice and thoughtful. We liked the facility because it's big enough that they have enough people to provide the care, but not so big that she's spending most of her life with strangers. They have what they call a resident concierge and this person will meet with my mother every day for the first 30 days to make sure that she's comfortable, all her needs are being taken care of, and that she's meeting with people, not only the staff, but the residents there as well. It's her job to get Mom settled into the community and become a part of the community. Of all the people we met, they were the best. We had an appointment to do lunch there, but my mother wasn't doing particularly well that day, so we were several hours late getting there and we missed the meal. The facilities were very nice, well-maintained, and clean, and they had what we were looking for.
Dear David, Thank you for your positive feedback and the time you took to write such a detailed review. We appreciate it!
Spring Hills Singing Woods was our second choice because of the proximity to visitors. However, they don't have a memory care opening. I liked the look and feel of the place. The person who assisted me was very professional and personable.
