I am/was a resident of this facility
I've been living here in Brookdale Carriage Club Providence for almost 2 years now. I just moved into another apartment. The residents are very friendly, and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are fairly large. All of them have full kitchens. Their 1-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms are fairly large facilities. It is an old community, but they're in the process of renovating a lot of it. The grounds are good. The location is good. They have a lot of activities. All of that is good. Brookdale Carriage Club Providence is expensive, but I would recommend it. Here, we have 8 to 10 different choices for lunch and dinner.

I visited this facility
Brookdale Carriage Club Providence is very outdated. They have popcorn ceilings, and it's just not kept up. We went into vacant units and they're not as upscale and luxurious as what I am looking for, it is kind of second rate. The cleanliness was okay though. I started the tour in the office, all the way to the common areas, and they were all fine. I got to the residences and only went to the ones that were stand-alone or duplex type, and they were all fine and clean too, it just wasn't top of the line as I wanted it to be, but the staff is great, very welcoming and very nice people.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
My parent has been living there for over 5 years. Many of the wonderful staff have been let go. Sometimes it feels like a revolving door. The residents have a community council to air their feelings. It appears that the administrative staff do not listen to them. They have had many different chefs. The food could use improving. they used to have a Sunday buffet which was great, but they have done away with that. They need more people on the maintenance staff so that the many problems can be addressed in a timely manner. It is nice to have a pool, but the residents want a qualified "water aerobatics instructor" for the summer, but this did not happen and the administration did not seem to care. More needs to be done to get the residents involved.
