The best way to get to know a community is by scheduling a tour. See the facilities, meet the staff and residents, and get a feel first hand what it's like to live at Sunrise of Cary Assisted Living.
Sunrise of Cary was a good community. The girl who gave me the tour was the activities director. She showed me all the things they're involved with, and I think it's quite extensive and impressive. The place was nice and clean, and the rooms were OK. They had lots of community areas. My wife has an indwelling catheter but they're not too keen on that. I'd rate them highly except for the pricing.
Sunrise of Cary is a pet-friendly community, but my dad is allergic to pets. Other than that, it's a clean place, and the rooms are sizeable. I didn't have an appointment when I went there, but they still accommodated me. I also like that they know all their patients' names.
My dad is in ALF at Sunrise of Cary. He has only been there for a short time days. Pricing is good and compared to where he was, it's excellent. They specialize in assisted living and memory care, but it fits perfectly with what my dad needs. So far, I'm very impressed with them. The people that actually take care of my dad are very receptive to anything I have to say. I was impressed with the medical staff and the administration. Everybody seems to be very responsive to my dad's needs and listens to what I have to say, which is great. The facility location is great for me too. They have outside pathways so Dad can be wheeled easily and he can go outside. His room is great. He likes it. He has a good view on the first floor.
We toured Sunrise of Cary, it was a good place and very clean. It seems safe, I wouldn't be worried about people breaking into the place. I think it could be a little updated as far as the walls and rugs go (at least in the particular room that I saw). It's a pretty much average senior community. Their menu looks pretty well-rounded.
