We toured the Montebello on Academy and it was very nice. The staff was gracious enough, knowledgeable, and I had no problems with the place. I was very well cared for by everybody I talked to. It looked freshly painted, the carpeting was clean and had been replaced, and everything was in tip-top shape. I felt like if I was ready to move right now, the Montebello would be a top choice.

We looked at The Montebello on Academy, and that's the place we're trying to get into. It's a very classy place and the pieces of furniture were nice and classy. They had a great chef. I didn't interview any of the people that were staying there, but just from the looks of them sitting around, they seemed content enough. I didn't feel like it's a typical independent living facility where you walk in and the first thing you see is a big dining room with a bunch of tables. Everything was kind of back behind the door, so you have a greeting area that's nice and well-maintained. The staff was very professional, answered my questions and weren't pushy. I felt pretty good about my interaction with the sales agent. You have to dress to go to dinner there. It's just a nicer, upscale place. You don't get the feeling of going into an old folk's home when you walk in the door. It's kind of well done that way. The areas that I saw looked just fine. I liked this facility the best.

The Montebello on Academy was very nice, up-to-date, clean, and had a nice people, nice environment, and nice staff. It had beautiful views. The staff was very knowledgeable, very nice, and answered all my questions.

The Montebello on Academy was very nice, and the food was good. We were concerned about the price with the annual increases. The staff member who toured us, Anna, was very nice and helpful, and we enjoyed visiting with her. Our first impression was positive since it seemed well-maintained.

My experience with The Montebello on Academy has been good, although it took a while to get used to living here. The people here are fairly more dressed up, probably because they have an older clientele here than most other places. We have a theater where we can watch movies about four nights a week, there's a dining area, a small library, games like black jack and bingo, dominoes, and so on. I find the staff to be very friendly and attentive. The food is somewhat better than average. We have the Sol Food company. They also have preserved covered parking.
