Merrill Gardens at Siena Hills was top of the line. The staff that took us on the tour was great, and the gal who runs it was very accommodating. They let us know what apartments were available, and they're very clean, very nice, and they let you do your own thing there. They had activities if you want, but you don't have to use them. They had an exercise area, a library, a computer area, and weekly entertainment.

We like Merrill Gardens at Siena Hills better than its sister community. It's a pretty good-sized community. With the meal plan you can get pretty much anything that you want within a span of 12 hours. There's always a medical professional on-site with 24/7 coverage, which is impressive. The layout of the apartments are nice even though they're smaller. They have good ventilation which makes them look more light-filled and open; there's only a few obstacles to get around. The person who gave us the tour was very nice. While we were there the residents were playing a game and a few other things, and an activity board shows you what's going on each week. Transport to the doctors can be arranged when necessary. They have a lot of amenities, and they can handle almost anything, even up to hospice if they need to.

Merrill Gardens at Siena Hills is brand new. It's a recent construction. The general appearance is super. It's beautiful. The person who assisted me was well above average. The dining area was also very nice and well laid out, and the decor was warm. It would be a pleasant place to sit down and have a meal. They have a swimming pool, an exercise room with various exercise equipment, walking areas, game rooms, and Bingo rooms. When I called them, I had to specifically ask if they have balcony apartments because I have two cats. The last thing that they showed me was a huge 1-bedroom apartment with a great balcony overlooking the pool, which was $5,500 a month. That was the only balcony apartment in their whole facility. At that point, I thanked them for the tour and turned around and walked out.

My mother-in-law was in Merrill Gardens for four weeks before she passed away. She had a very nice apartment, the people were just excellent, and it's a very nice place. The food was excellent. They have some nice activities there. They have a theater room, they have music twice a week, and they play Bingo.

Merrill Gardens at Siena Hills is beautiful and the staff is friendly. They make sure the rooms are clean and they allow animals. They have a full-time nursing staff on-hand. There are two to three nurses 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They have events and community rooms where they have little parties, they play cards, or play bingo. It's very well maintained. My father has a studio apartment and it has a refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink, but no stove. They are going to be administering medicaion. They come in and they clean the room two or three times a week, they change the bed sheets once a week, they have a cafeteria, and they also have the panic button necklace in case something happens. The meals are always excellent. The facility is laid out real nice, but they're a little above average price wise.

Merrill Gardens at Siena Hills is a really good community. I chose it because it's convenient to me. My dad's room is great and everything looks good. The food looks good and he likes it. They offer tons of activities, they give a sheet to my dad every morning, and there's just a lot of good things to do. They also have an open area outside.
