The best way to get to know a community is by scheduling a tour. See the facilities, meet the staff and residents, and get a feel first hand what it's like to live at Sterling Care Harbor Pointe Assisted Living.
Upper management not very friendly, no activity stimulation, no trips and horrible food.
I couldn't be happier. It's like family.
The Village at Harbor Pointe had very friendly staff, and it's a very good community. The day we toured, they had a magic show going on, and the magician was pulling rabbits out of a hat; it was pretty neat. We were also introduced to one of the activity coordinators, and there was a calendar with probably 200 activities through the course of 30 days. There was a little library, and all the books are donated from various places. I also noticed later on that day that there were volunteers from high schools who did nails and toenails. The staff was good, and if anything, they're what won me over. That day, we were given an option of either salmon, filet mignon, or lobster tails, and it was really good. It was amazing.
We had a nice, interesting visit at The Village at Harbor Pointe. It’s small but nice and quiet. We were evaluating the living part of it and saw the cottages. The staff was excellent. There was transportation available.
