Brookdale Tallgrass (formerly Sterling House of Tallgrass) is centrally located in Wichita close to medical services, shopping, parks, and cultural entertainment. Our cozy senior community provides personalized assisted living options for seniors, where we emphasize individualized care. We pay attention to the details that make life comfortable and special - from the fresh flowers throughout the beautifully decorated living rooms to the dedicated staff who are happy to make each day in our community successful for our residents.

We offer a choice of floor plans for our private or companion suites that come fully furnished, or we offer unfurnished suites, which residents can decorate to suit their personal tastes. Living accommodations offer easy access for those with limited mobility, and they include wall-to-wall carpeting, private baths with step-in showers and a kitchenette. Small pets are welcome in our charming, homelike environment.
Our single-story building is easy to navigate, and it offers many comfortable community areas. I visited this facility
Brookdale Tallgrass is fully assisted living. There's no independent living. As a result, the front door was locked, which I'm sure it needs to be. They were not expecting me even they I had an appointment. They found somebody to give me a quick tour and she did a very nice job for being kind of put on the spot. The facility was nice. We went into one of the resident's rooms. She was nice enough to let us look the room over. I can tell that it was far beyond my father's needs. The rooms were clean. It was unfortunate that the young lady that gave me the tour was clearly not prepared at that moment, but she did a very good job showing me around. Somebody at that facility did a poor job of communicating that I was going to be there.
