Welcoming, caring and compassionate, Risen Son Christian Village is an independent living and continuing care retirement community (CCRC) serving seniors of every age and allowing them to age in place. Located on forty acres in beautiful Council Bluffs, Iowa, in Pottawattamie County, we provide high-quality, faith-based, senior living and care options that encourage the highest possible level of independence in a scenic setting that's convenient to transportation and shopping.
As a CCRC, we provide a range of independent living options, plus continuum-of-care services including residential care, long-term skilled nursing, rehab and assisted living memory care all available onsite for residents. When it makes sense we are there for you.

I visited this facility
The Risen Son looked nice from the outside. They even had a parking place and the place is very clean, and the staff seemed to be very polite. The rooms for people that have problems like Alzheimer's were very small though. I saw an activity room. I don't recall the activities that were on there, but they did have a calendar up and it listed all the activities that they did. I just talked to them and they were very polite, and anything I asked they took me to. I think the staff was good. They seemed to be very polite, they dressed nice, clean, and seemed to be nice with the patients that were around. They told me there was an outdoor area for patients that were able to go outside. They could take some out in wheelchairs, there was a concrete area that they could take them out to, right to the edge where they said they had flowers and trees planted.
