Brown Deer Place is a retirement community with a wide range of senior living options including independent living, assisted living and memory care. We are located just next to the Brown Deer Golf Club and numerous restaurants and shops.

With numerous sitting areas throughout our stylishly decorated common rooms, those with mobility difficulties will always have a place to rest at Brown Deer Place. Apartments include both private cozy studios and spacious one-bedroom homes. Each is well-designed to enable mobility, with plentiful safety features. Each of the apartments include kitchenettes, broad windows and spacious closets.
Dining at Brown Deer Place is restaurant-style, expertly-prepared by our trained culinary staff. Additionally, our staff organizes a variety of individual, social and wellness activities to suit the interests of residents including gatherings and outings.

At Brown Deer Place compassionate staff assumes the chores and burdens of home maintenance and housekeeping. We are focused on providing wellness solutions to our residents so they can thrive and live a full life throughout their retirement. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My mother moved into Brown Deer Place. It's a small, beautiful facility, close to the hospital where she has her physicians, and has a memory care unit. The staff is very nice, communicative, and caring. The apartments are well-kept, on the small side, but she likes it. The food is good, and the people are friendly. So far, it's good. They had a 4th of July celebration where they went on a bus ride and took them out for lunch.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My sister is living at Brown Deer Place in the independent living portion. She has a small bedroom and a small living space with an attached kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, and sink. It's really nice. She also has her own bath with a walk-in shower. She's enjoying the food in that they have a salad bar every day. The staff had been helpful and always there to answer questions and deal with issues. My sister wears a bracelet and she can call for help if she needs it, so it's fitting her needs pretty well right now. One of the activities that enticed my sister were the daily devotions where the staff would lead right after breakfast but it kind of fell apart at some point. They have outings, barbeques, and a pretty active exercise program where a therapist comes in and guides the exercise.

I visited this facility
Brown Deer Place had pleasant, polite staff. However, it was an older place that seemed more confining than I would like it to be. The ceiling heights were low. The lack of natural light was a bit of an issue for me there.
