I visited this facility
I wasn't that impressed with Sugar Grove. The rooms were small, and it just looked kind of outdated. The outside of it looks gorgeous and beautiful though. One good thing about it is that they have access for the residents, a door where you can go in from the inside but theres also a door you can go out to from the outside which is private. So you can privately enter and exit your apartment and I like that a lot. You also didnt have to go into any stairs or elevators. The staff and the residents seemed happy, I saw people there playing cards and puzzles and the people there were very nice. They had a whole activity room like for knitting; they have a salon and so on. In terms of the building itself, it wasnt that bad, it just wasnt very good. They could do some updates with all the money, because that place is expensive.
I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
My mother is moving into Sugar Grove. It's nice. The person who assisted me was Lindsey who is a rock star. She's awesome. They told us all the different things that they do. They have a nurse practitioner that's there two days a week, and on the other days they take trips on buses, they go out to eat, they may go to the grocery store to get toiletries or different things, or they may go somewhere special like the zoo or bowling. It's a good place. I would recommend it. I like that they accept pets. If you live there for 24 months and run out of money, then you can apply for Medicaid.
I Visited This Facility
Sugar Grove was very nice. I saw people moving around and walking around. Everybody seems to be doing great. It's in a really nice area. Everything looked clean and spic and span. The young woman who talked to me was very friendly and informative. I have nothing but great things to say about it. I would be happy if my mother was there. They had a movie room opposite the lobby where I was.
