Fox Point is a full-service senior living community providing independent living and assisted living accommodations, as well as memory care services through Fox Point Manor. Nestled in the growing community of McHenry just an hour outside of Chicago, our residents enjoy small-town living with access to McHenry's historic downtown.
Our spacious apartments and suites come in a selection of studio and one-bedroom floor plans. All apartments feature kitchens or kitchenettes and private bathrooms. Our memory care suites boast high ceilings and are available for both private and semi-private occupancy.
For the enjoyment of our residents, Fox Point boasts a well-equipped fitness area, on-site library with computer access, full-size pool table, outdoor walking paths and several common areas filled with natural light. Additionally, we also schedule a full calendar of fun activities to ensure there is never a dull moment at our community.
At Fox Point, we believe that retirement living should be carefree, which is why our staff take care of the housekeeping, linen changing, transportation and meal service. We also have a full-service beauty salon right on site so that residents can always look their best.
For seniors who need extra care and support, our caregiving staff, which includes licensed nurses and nursing assistants, are available 24 hours a day to provide assistance with life's daily activities such as bathing, grooming and dressing. Residents challenged by Alzheimer's and other dementias receive care in our stand-alone Fox Manor memory care community, which we believe provides a more optimal therapeutic environment for treating memory loss.
We welcome seniors to join our family at Fox Point and start receiving the care and respect they deserve.

My friend is a resident of Fox Point & Fox Point Manor. There's never enough people, but they manage. The staff was very friendly and informative. The apartments were very good and quite sufficient. She does morning exercises, live entertainment comes in, arts and crafts, and so on. They also have outings every Monday, and had a Halloween thing. I just got a letter from them about what they're going to do for Thanksgiving.
Fox Point & Fox Point Manor was way too big for my mother-in-law. Their rooms were a lot smaller than the other place, but they cost the same price. They really didn't show me anything. They just sat us down and then took us around the place. They had a movie theater for the residents to go and watch movies. It was just too overwhelming and too big for her. We talked, walked around, and they showed us the studios and the 1-bedroom apartments. I was not impressed.
My visit at Fox Point was delightful. They were extremely nice, and we really liked it. It had a lot of the amenities we wanted. The geography was so much better than others. They were missing a swimming pool for water therapy. My wife agreed to go there and make that her home, but I'm moving in with her because I wouldn’t leave her alone. There are two places there: Fox Point and Fox Point Manor. I wanted unassisted for myself and assisted for my wife in case I have to be called out and, if that happens, I wanted them to take over for me. I was going to have them administer all the drugs to her and take care of dressing her in the morning. If I didn’t need them when they came, I would tell them it was OK and that I can handle it myself. They would charge me for the assisted living, and then I would get unassisted for myself, and they were very accommodating with that. I thought it was very comfortable, and the people were quite friendly. They had some pinochle games, conversation groups, poker game, and a nice library. It was a very pleasant environment; one that I would be happy taking my wife into. The dining area was fine and very spacious. We saw some of the meal preparation and everything was satisfactory. It was very clean and wholesome, and the chairs were comfortable. I am docking them for the lack of a pool because a lot of the seniors would benefit from hydrotherapy.

My mom was at Fox Point. The marketing individual and the move-in coordinator were very helpful. They treated us well as we were moving there. Unfortunately, I had renewed for a second month before my mother had passed. We vacated the facility and I'm hoping to get a prorated refund for the month we didn't stay there. At first, the executive director was sort of adamant that they wouldn't consider it, but subsequently, I talked to the business manager who gave me some hope that it could happen. Her room was very nice and clean, and she was very happy with it. The condition of the facilities was very good.
