Description of North Star Retirement Community
From our extended hours dining room to our comfortable lobby and lounge areas, North Star Retirement Community offers a number of excellent on-site services and amenities for our independent and assisted living residents to experience. We are ideally located on three park-like acres of landscaped grounds within minutes of area attractions and services. These include medical services at Kootenai Medical Center, local shopping spots and popular restaurants.
North Star Retirement Community is managed by Stellar Senior Living, a senior housing provider that oversees communities in multiple states in the west.
Featured Amenities
When looking to relax a little bit with a good book, our library is a great place to start. The billiard and lounge area provides space for both conversation and fun, while residents who enjoy gardening love our raised planter beds. True restaurant dining is found in our community dining room which features a number of delicious menu options that rotate seasonally.
Apartments here at North Star Retirement Community are offered in studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans. All of our accommodations are equipped with individually controlled thermostats, wall-to-wall carpeting, kitchenettes or kitchens and an emergency call system. Some units also feature either a deck or patio area for outdoor relaxation.
Available Services
During their stay at our community, residents are provided with the opportunity to stay active and engaged. Each month, our community calender is packed with a range of fun and engaging events, including art programs, fitness classes, off-site excursions, live entertainment and even community stewardship opportunities.
Should an extra helping hand be required from time to time, attentive staff members are available around the clock to provide assistance. Assistive services could include help with medication management, personal hygiene, dressing, ambulation and other activities of daily living. These helpful services are always provided in a discrete and private manner.

I visited this facility
I toured North Star Retirement Community. I was able to get in ahead of my appointment, and they gave me a tour. It was a nice facility, but Dad chose another place. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It's very clean, nice, and tidy. They have two dining rooms for the assisted and independent living. It was very nice in appearance, and it looked like a nice restaurant. It almost looked like you're out in the woods, but you're not. There were large trees all around, and it was very peaceful there.

I visited this facility
North Star Retirement Community was great. It reminded me of being on a cruise ship. There were lots of things going and great people still living, not just waiting to die. The staff was great. The room shown to us was a one-bedroom, one-bath, but she showed us all the other floor plans. I liked the live band and dancing on Wednesday nights. They had a library, an exercise room, pianos on every floor, and all-day meals and a menu. Everything was inclusive. It was less expensive than the others, but you pay for it. They don't take financial assistance.

I visited this facility
North Star Retirement Community is very nice. There was a lot going on. The dining area was very nice. They have a library and a beauty shop. The food was very good and there was a lot to choose from.
