Delivering the highest level of memory care requires a community be specially designed to provide for the unique needs of its residents, and Serenades by Sonata – The Village is just such a community. To create the sense of home for our residents, our community is organized into neighborhoods, which not only allows for easier way finding but also increase a sense of family amongst our residents and caregivers.
Serenades by Sonata – The Villages is operated by Sonata Senior Living, a completely-owned subsidiary of Orlando-based Sonata Health Care LLC. With executives experienced in developing senior housing communities throughout Florida, Sonata Senior Living's mission is to provide seniors a robust lifestyle with superior customer service in innovative communities.
To meet their loved one's living preferences, families can choose from private or companion suites, and we also offer private suites with shared bathroom. Suite features include a secured closet and safety grab bars in the bathroom. There are also bed exit and incontinence sensors, along with motion sensors. Memory boxes filled with photographs and personal mementos are outside each suite to aid in way finding.
At Serenades by Sonata – The Villages, our residents benefit greatly by the individual and group activities. We also have “Reflections” rooms where residents may choose to relax. They may also take a walk through the internal courtyard that features walking paths, butterfly gardens and even a three-hole putting green.
Mealtimes have our residents gathering together for a family-dining experience. All the meals are designed to meet our residents' wellness needs, and we always make sure snacks and beverages are on hand. We also handle the housekeeping and laundry needs of residents, along with providing transportation for supervised outings.
Families will discover that we go the extra mile to provide for the health care needs of their loved one. Along with having a licensed nurse on duty 24 hours a day, we also have in-house physical and occupational therapy. Physicians, dental, therapy and podiatry services are brought to the community as needed, which saves our residents from having to travel.
Providing memory care that is the culmination of best practices and the latest research in Alzheimer's disease is what we strive to do at Serenades by Sonata – The Villages.

This place has gone down hill fast. We are lucky to get 1 shower a week for my incontinent relative. Lost clothes and personal items missing, no sheets on bed on several occasions. Laundry piled up constantly. Staff shortage is partly to blame but if they are so short staffed why do they take all these new people.
This is a very nice facility and when I chose it for my loved one Caroline was the director. She left shortly after I arrived and the care has gone progressively downhill since then. The new director consistently admits residents who should be in a nursing home and the staff is overworked and not able to provide adequate care. My spouse was soiled many times when I visited and my written complaints went unaddressed. I am moving my spouse quickly.
