I absolutely loved Brighton Gardens of Tampa except for the elevator. The dining room was beautiful, and they had a chef and a wonderful menu. They had activities, a church room, and different services for different religions. They had three floors and the rooms were nice. The bathrooms were big enough that you can have a wheelchair in them. Their staff has been there long time. There was one lady who had been there for 12 years. Pricing was good, and the staff was wonderful. They had nursing care. When you get in the hospital and you need a nursing home for a while, you could get that right there without being transferred from the hospital to a nursing facility first.
Brighton Gardens of Tampa didn't have enough staff for total care individuals. If you're not totally independent, they don't have the staff to assist in your needs. It's clean overall. They provide a lot of activities, and every hour there's something going on. It was a bit further for us, at the end of Dale Mabry Drive. The layout was good. I would recommend them if you're not dependent on something. They start at $3,000 and go up to $5,000 or $6,000. They charged $17 a day just to give my father-in-law vitamins.

Brighton Gardens of Tampa was very nice and clean. I met a lot of staff members, they were very friendly. The rooms were just a little smaller than what we needed. They did accept dogs, but there was a deposit. When we were there, they had game day, and they were holding a mah-jong tournament. The kitchen looked nice, and the food looked good.
If you hate your family member, place them at this over rated, over priced and horrible ALF. The care givers are under qualified, too few,and verbal and physical abusive. The turn over rate for the so called care givers was unbelievable. Although, Brighton was highly rated, I found out too late that it isn't what they claim it to be when I admitted my wife for care in their so called memory unit. I found bruises on her and when complained all I got were vague excuses. I witnessed verbal abuse of other residents many times while visiting my wife.I couldn't get her out of this fraudulant place fast enough.
An easily accessible facility with beautifully landscaped and clean grounds. There were comfortable looking chairs tastefully placed around the outside entry area. Once inside I was greeted by a receptionist and a friendly and helpful Director of Sales, Theresa. The dining area was set for lunch in brown and beige linen and many well-dressed residents were seating themselves. Theresa gave me a program of daily events. I give this property five stars on cleanliness and good taste.
Brighton Gardens is one of the few communities in the Tampa area that offers a full continuum of care option - Assisted living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care, not restricted to current residents. The community is situated on a beautiful piece of property and convenient to Carrollwood, Northdale, Lutz, etc.
