My mother moved to independent living in Ormond in the Pines. What I like best is that she has her own room and her own furniture. It is very clean and beautiful. She has a 1-bedroom with a large living room, full kitchen, and a bathroom with bars and a seat in the shower part. It's very nice, spacious, and has a lot of closets. For the most part, the staff is nice. In certain areas they say they're going to do something, but they forget. They have a lot of activities and my mom has gone to bingo. Today, she was on a mystery bus tour and she didn't know where she was going. The food is very good. My mom doesn't have any complaints.
The staff at Ormond in the Pines is excellent. My mother-in-law's room is very clean but does not have a handicap toilet. The food is great. They have cards, videos, and music, which she likes. Their work attitude is great. They're all very friendly. There are outdoor areas, but they aren't very pleasant. They mostly sit out in front of the building. A lot of people smoke, and they had to smoke outside by the driveway, which I didn't think was very nice. I didn't see any outdoor gardens or anything more pleasant. The dining area is very nice.
Ormond in the Pines was great and everything there was nice. The staff and people that were living there were also nice to me. I just can't afford it right now. They had many activities and I saw people getting on the bus to go places. The person who gave me the tour was very nice, she told me everything about the place, and answered all my questions. She also called me back to see if I'd found a place or not.
Ormond in the Pines is not right for us. Everything was perfect except that the rooms are too small. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. They're wonderful people.
Ormond in the Pines was nice. Everybody was very nice, too. The place was big and homey. The staff was very friendly, helpful, very knowledgeable, and answered all the questions I had. I had lunch there and the Chef's Salad was very good. They were working on the hurricane damage, but I think the paint needs more life to it. They had a band that plays there once a week. They also had Bingo and card games.
Ormond in the Pines was a nice place where everyone seemed happy. The rooms were nice, but the studios were really small. It's a clean, lovely community.
Ormond in the Pines is a nice facility with a good layout. It's more independent living than it is assisted living. They have no medical staff on the premises to help with medications. It's more a retirement facility than anything else. They had good amenities as far as activities for the residents go. The landscaping looked very nice, but it just was not ideal for my father and it was very expensive. They have a pool, community area, limited transportation, trips, Bingo, and card night.
Mother is in Ormond in The Pines. It has a friendly and uplifting environment. The staff is very helpful and the food is excellent. They have daily activities, offer casino boat rides, and they even transfer you to nearby shopping centers.
Ormond in the Pines was a blessing for our elderly aunt. From the first time we walked in the door, people smiled and greeted us plus praised the facility and the staff. You could sense the genuine feeling of family here and that is not the usual case for retirement facilities. No one is ignored or forgotten. There are activities and people who approach newcomers to acquaint them with the facility. When we looked for places, we wanted a place that could offer both independent living and assisted living without leaving the premises. Ormond in the Pines had all of this. Plus the staff genuinely looks out for everyone to be sure that they are healthy, safe, and accounted for so that no one is alone and perhaps in trouble. We love the people of Ormond in the Pines and would recommend it to everyone we know.
We had a good experience visiting Ormond in The Pines. They had a lot of parking and a nice setting. The staff and people were very nice.
I didn't have any problems with Ormond in the Pines. It's excellent, to be perfectly honest. The staff is absolutely excellent. Mom has a one-bedroom apartment with a living room, and she's absolutely fine with that. They have a barber shop and a game room, do puzzles, and have people come in to play music for the residents; they have a good time. The dining area is large. They have a good breakfast area and a dining facility on the first floor. The food looked very nice, too.
I was less impressed with Ormond in the Pines; however, they had a physical therapy company who actually had their own office right in the building and a home health care company that also had its own office in the building, which is a nice thing. It was mostly women and a lot of older ladies sitting out in the hallways just staring off into space. It wasn't as nice, shiny, or new. They had a nice library, rooms where you could go and play board games, and Wii bowling. I have never seen that before. I was walking down the hallways and everybody was cheering and I walked by and there were all these people playing bowling with this Wii thing on the TV set. Everybody seemed to be having a good time except for the guy who got a gutter ball.
I thought that the general appearance of Ormond in the Pines was good. It was well painted, well lit, and seemed to be in pretty good shape. The staff answered all of my questions. The library and the computer room were in good shape unlike in other placed I have visited where the computers were out-of-date and not really very useful. The dining area was well kept and had matching utensils, which was unique.
We had a good experience at Ormond In The Pines, but my father didn’t like it. The building was old, and the price was fair. We had an excellent meal in the beautiful dining area.
