I visited Ormond in the Pines. I haven't moved in yet, but I'm trying to get that underway as soon as possible. I am very happy with the apartment and I think it's going to be just right for me. It's lovely. The staff who was showing me the apartment showed me how strong the water pressure was in the bathroom because I have a lot of hair and it's long and I like to wash my hair and get the shampoo out. I thought that was the most hilarious thing they've ever heard. They said, "In all our years, no one has ever asked us about the water pressure here." I'm very happy with the water pressure, I thought that was worth adding. The staff was very nice. They showed me the pool, the covered car ports, and a storage room where each apartment gets a little storage cubicle. I was looking at one other place and the 1-bedroom apartment there was $3000, and the 2-bedroom 2-bath at Ormond in the Pines was about $500 less than a 1-bedroom at the other place, so that's a plus in my book.

The staff at Ormond in the Pines is excellent. My mother-in-law's room is very clean but does not have a handicap toilet. The food is great. They have cards, videos, and music, which she likes. Their work attitude is great. They're all very friendly. There are outdoor areas, but they aren't very pleasant. They mostly sit out in front of the building. A lot of people smoke, and they had to smoke outside by the driveway, which I didn't think was very nice. I didn't see any outdoor gardens or anything more pleasant. The dining area is very nice.

Ormond in the Pines was great and everything there was nice. The staff and people that were living there were also nice to me. I just can't afford it right now. They had many activities and I saw people getting on the bus to go places. The person who gave me the tour was very nice, she told me everything about the place, and answered all my questions. She also called me back to see if I'd found a place or not.

Ormond in the Pines is not right for us. Everything was perfect except that the rooms are too small. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. They're wonderful people.

Ormond in the Pines was a nice place where everyone seemed happy. The rooms were nice, but the studios were really small. It's a clean, lovely community.

Ormond in the Pines was a nice community and the people were really friendly. I saw a room, and it was spacious, and very comfortable looking. It was also handicapped accessible, which is good for me. It had a small kitchenette. I saw the dining room, people were playing bingo, cards, and things like that. It was a great place, and if they would take me I would take them. I also saw a couple of the specialized rooms for parties and things like that. I talked to their coordinator who does all the exercise stuff and activities for the seniors. She told me there was a lot to do there and I was impressed. I didn't sample anything to eat, but I looked at the menu and it looks good. They offer three meals a day. They also have kitchenettes in the rooms, so a guy like me could even eat five times a day if I wanted.

My mother moved to independent living in Ormond in the Pines. What I like best is that she has her own room and her own furniture. It is very clean and beautiful. She has a 1-bedroom with a large living room, full kitchen, and a bathroom with bars and a seat in the shower part. It's very nice, spacious, and has a lot of closets. For the most part, the staff is nice. In certain areas they say they're going to do something, but they forget. They have a lot of activities and my mom has gone to bingo. Today, she was on a mystery bus tour and she didn't know where she was going. The food is very good. My mom doesn't have any complaints.

Ormond in the Pines was nice. Everybody was very nice, too. The place was big and homey. The staff was very friendly, helpful, very knowledgeable, and answered all the questions I had. I had lunch there and the Chef's Salad was very good. They were working on the hurricane damage, but I think the paint needs more life to it. They had a band that plays there once a week. They also had Bingo and card games.

Ormond in the Pines is a nice facility with a good layout. It's more independent living than it is assisted living. They have no medical staff on the premises to help with medications. It's more a retirement facility than anything else. They had good amenities as far as activities for the residents go. The landscaping looked very nice, but it just was not ideal for my father and it was very expensive. They have a pool, community area, limited transportation, trips, Bingo, and card night.
