Overall, this facility looks nice, we toured it. The staff was friendly. However, it did have a weird smell to it, as well as many of the rooms had portable air conditioners and humidifiers. When asked about it, the staff said it was still being fixed from the hurricane, overall we did not get a very homey feel. The elevator was out of service in the dining room, as well as some of the memory care residence were by the front desk when we arrived. Overall, this facility seemed to manage itself.

My mother is a recent resident so our experience is quite limited. So far the staff has been attentive to our concerns.

I chose The Palms of Fort Myers for my parents. It's excellent. They're very caring people, there's excellent communication, and the facilities are very good. I love their exercise room, hot tub, and porch. From their apartment, they have access to a private porch. It overall seems to be a wonderful facility with very caring people that work there.

I was impressed with Brookdale College Parkway. I just did not like that you don't have a washer and dryer. The staff seemed very nice. The apartments were fine, and the one I found was lovely. They took me outside and showed me the pool, television rooms, pool table area, and the dining room that was not open.

This facility needs to be shut down. Rooms are dirty, ceilings are cracked. Management only cares about sales, not residents or their families. They are disrespectful, rude. There are no activities. Very high price for a run down facility. Don\'t put your loved one in this place.

Dad is going back to the American House Fort Myers from the nursing home. They treated him very well, and the food was excellent. Dad was very pleased. I was there at least twice a week just to see him, and I ate a luncheon there in his room before the COVID crisis, then they had to shut it down to outsiders. He got to know a lot of the staff and dad was very pleased, that's why we're going back. I would recommend it to anybody.

I saw The Palms in Fort Myers and I thought it was very nice. The staff there was very pleasant and very capable. I thought the apartments were ample size and satisfactory. They were very nice. I didn't see a courtyard but everything else was good. The dining room was fine, everything was very nice.

I visited this facility

I visited Brookdale Fort Myers for my father. It's nice, it's beautiful, and I love it. Staff is really nice, too. It's really organized and everything is really cool. The lady that gave me the tour was really nice. I think her name is Maria, really nice girl. She's really informative at how the facility works. The check in person was really courteous and nice as reception. Overall, everybody that they hired introduced themselves from housekeeping, that's important. I was walking by with her and she was showing me the facility and the places available, and they were all acknowledging there was somebody walking by, which is really nice. Definitely the facility I would like for him to see. I really like the repour from the staff on that facility. The apartments are really nice, really new. I like the way they're presented. She showed me a studio and one bedroom. Since he is a guy, I know he'll do good at the studio. I like the layout it's very simple it's not complicated at all. She did show me the exercise area which is really nice, they have a little barbershop, they have a little shop, those little things, they a little craft corner where they all do their crafts and stuff. It's very nice facility. If I was old enough, I'll go in there myself. She did show me the menu, they're dining was close, cause of the Covid. But definitely they have a variety of stuff for the patient to pick what they want, if they don't want this, they can choose. They have another option an alternate to their meal, and that's really good. They were simple, and I know my dad would eat.
