Atria Willow Wood was fine. It's a very nice place, but they don't accept my mother's insurance. They had a lot of amenities, and the staff was friendly. They have a pool and a spa. It felt very homey.
My mom is at Willow Wood. She was a resident in independent living for three years and assisted living for about six months. I'm very happy with my mother there. The staff is excellent. They're very attentive to her needs. They're aware that my mother has some cognitive changes. They know if something seems out of the ordinary, which is good. I like Willow Wood very much because I know the care is good. The meals are pretty good. My mother is happy with the meals. The activity director is wonderful. They have great activities, although I think it would be nice if they have more activities outside of the community. They have a couple of buses and they can take people out, but they don't schedule very many of those. The outside grounds are very nice. It's beautiful, with walking paths in the back, which I like a lot. I think it's good for the residents. They have a beautiful pool. They have just put a lift in for the pool, which is very nice. However, the facilities themselves are badly in need of renovation. They have been telling us for the last year that they're going to be renovating, but it keeps getting postponed.
Willow Wood was very nice. The staff was very nice, and the rooms were adequate. They had concerts, arts and crafts, card games, and a library.
My mother has lived there for over a year. The staff is acceptable ad the place is very clean. The med staff and processes are less than par. Many have attitudes. The independent apartment was very nice. We moved because we could no longer cover the costs and it was not a 'fit' culturally for my mom (she is Spanish).
