Our visit with Bradenton Oaks was good. The girl that took us around was very nice and very helpful. There was regular assisted living and there wasmemory care. The apartments were nice. What stood out was how the staff interacted with the people. I saw the ladies getting their nails done by one of the workers. They offer three meals a day. They're updating a lot of things that need to be updated. What had been done was nice, but the rest of it needs perking up.
For the most part, Bradenton Oaks was very accommodating and informative. Unfortunately, they didn't meet the needs that my mom had. Nothing was dilapidated or out of sort. It was very clean and well taken care of, but some of the facilities, I think, needed a little bit of updating and some TLC.
I visited Bradenton Oaks for my mother. They were very nice and very cordial. I only saw one room, and that was a studio apartment. It was very nice. It was clean-looking and attractive. I didn’t care for their dining room, though. It was more cafeteria-looking versus restaurant-looking. It just didn’t excite me at all. The residents were playing volleyball from their chairs when we were there. The place had the same kinds of activities as other places. They had a bus that would take you on certain days to certain stores and transport you to your doctor's appointments. However, as you add in the things that you need, the cost goes up. The cost was comparable to that of other places.
Bradenton Oaks is a very nice place, in my opinion, but the lady of the house did not care for it at all. The setting was clean, the people were friendly, and it was a welcoming place.
