The Lakeshore is a beautiful senior living facility off of Lake Washington. The grounds are well maintained, and there are benches where the residents can sit and enjoy the view. There is a lovely garden area for the residents my guy has a rose garden he cherishes. Inside the building, there are plenty of sitting areas and common rooms, all furnished tastefully. The garden club was going on when I was there It looked like everyone was having a lot of fun, not just the residents but the instructor to. The staff members were all very busy but also were very friendly. They have a calendar posted on the wall with a list of daily activities including physical fitness activities, weekly scenic rides, and weekly fun outings. The meals at Lakeshore offer residents several dining choices including a sugar-free or no-sugar-added option. There are also always one or two entrées that are prepared with reduced sodium, fat, and cholesterol. While the large number of entrées to choose from is certainly nice, I have ate lunch at Lakeshore and the soup and sandwich was very good. They offer adequate group transportation is provided, but personal transportation is not offered. Pets are welcome my resident has a cat and this is so important for him as he lost his wife. Residents can choose from studio and one- and two-bedroom apartment units my guys is very nice and the perfect size for him and his cat. The cost at Lakeshore is comparable to others in the area. The rooms have emergency call systems, and kitchenettes. They provide housekeeping, laundry, and linen services weekly. Scheduled group transportation is provided weekly for grocery shopping Guest meals are charged depending on what the guest orders from the menu not too pricey and worth being able to come eat and visit. The personal care services offered include assistance with showering, bathing, dressing, mobility, transferring, eating, continence management, and medication management. Resident’s specific care needs are assessed in 30 day increments. The activities are exceptional the health and personal care services are very basic though, I would like to see more for my resident in this area
