Mom is waiting for an opening at The Bedford. The place is beautiful, very warm, and feels like home. The bedrooms are nice with high ceilings, fireplaces, a nice-sized kitchen, and crown mouldings. It doesn't feel like you're going into a box. The whole building is done beautifully and doesn't feel like a place for older people. It's lovely, and the grounds are gorgeous. The staff are all very nice. We ate there, and it was all very nice.

The Bedford was our first choice, but they did not have assisted care. It was located close to shopping and everything. They seemed to have more interest in one-on-one attention. They had a buffet, and the food was excellent. They did not have much of a view from their rooms. The atmosphere was very nice, and the staff was very friendly. The dining was smaller than the one my mom was in, and it's a smaller community with less units, which I liked.
