Sodalis Memory Care Temple has a very homey atmosphere. These facility is on the smaller side of the scale (when compared with much larger facilities), but is nonetheless a family-like community. This facility specializes in Alzheimer’s and Dementia care. The outside of the facility looks much like a home, with a very comfortable and welcoming air about it. The outside of the building is well managed and has very nice landscaping. Inside the building is very home-like with a kitchen and dining area that may remind you of your own kitchen at home. The floorplan of the building is very nice and the layout is quite open. The building was very clean inside. The personal living quarters of the residents are very homey and modest (with twin beds being used in the rooms I saw) and the rooms are of average size. Staff appeared quite capable and knowledgeable. The outdoor sitting area fir the facility was very nice. There were rocking chairs where residents could sit and relax and a ramp that lead down to the grass. The area with the chairs was a bit like a short deck. The seating area was well shaded. This facility has a fair amount of amenities and a good number of activities to help keep residents busy. Alzheimer’s & Dementia is a very nice facility that looks very new and modern. It’s very small in size, so resident care is likely very individualized. This facility has a lot of great points. Though it may not be biggest facility, its small environment gives it a family-like feel that may remind you of home. It’s a great facility that is certainly worth considering. The area I liked best of this facility was the outdoor area. Though it isn’t very large, it looks very new and modern and the rocking chairs were a nice touch. From what I saw of it, the facility seems very accessible with ramps in place to help residents get around. There was a very long ramp in the outdoor area. I recommend paying a visit to this facility. Its warm family like environment is certainly one of a kind.

Description of Sodalis Elder Living - Temple

Sodalis Elder Living exists to serve elders who are living with diminished cognitive and/or physical limitations. At the Temple community, we provide exceptional resident care, engaging activities, and meaningful work for our coworkers while operating in a fiscally sound manner. We honor those we serve by ensuring "a life engaged." Engagement provides our residents with a sense of purpose, fulfillment, social interaction and accomplishment. The six dimensions of daily engagement at Sodalis Elder Living are social, intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and dignity.

Sodalis Elder Living was one of the earliest care providers in the United States to implement the Person-Centered Care approach, which is designed to enhance dignity and foster independence. This research-based approach is applied to all aspects of care and is highlighted in our engagement programs. It allows us to avoid making assumptions about our residents and helps us to provide the best care for each individual. Giving all residents a sense of purpose guides the care we provide.
