Renaissance Austin is a charming facility. The facility is very nice with big windows that constantly let in plenty of natural light. I find the design of the building to be quite nice with a layout that flows well. The atmosphere here is very open and airy and the light that shines through the many windows of this facility give it a very happy feel. Renaissance Austin is a nice facility when it comes to its interior. The exterior of the facility is also very nice too. The facility is well landscaped on the outside and there’s plenty of seating areas for residents. There are also nice shaded parts of the building due to the many trees. I found the atmosphere outside the building to be quite peaceful and tranquil. There were areas of grass. The many seating areas were something that I was quite happy about. Inside the facility is clean with a great layout. There’s lots of natural light coming through from the facility’s windows and the building had plenty of nice seating areas inside. There were plenty of areas to sit inside and plenty of recreational rooms for residents to sit and enjoy. There’s even a library and a billiard room. I also like the dining hall, despite it being a bit crowded. The tables a little bit too close to each other (or rather there’s too many tables packed into one area), but even despite this, the dining area is a very warm and cozy room. Renaissance Austin offers plenty of food options to make sure residents have plenty of variety. Though I did not personally get a chance to taste the meals at this facility, the food visually looked very good. A downside of the Renaissance Austin is perhaps the fact it isn’t as centrally located as most facilities. It isn’t really located near any major establishments as the area is largely residential. There is however establishments on HWY 183 which isn’t too far from the facility. Overall, Renaissance Austin is a very nice facility. There aren’t any establishments in walking distance of the facility, but there are establishments located nearby on HWY 183.

The Renaissance has come a long way. There have been changes made over the past year or so and this community has definitely improved. The lighting is better and the employees' morale seems to be much better too. The Renaissance is clean and maintained. The staff is kind and helpful. They have activities, socials, and outdoor functions planned for their residents.

This facility has that feeling of home that we were looking for my parents. The building is filled with natural light from all the skylights and floor to ceiling windows in the halls. The entire place wraps around a pretty green courtyard, so from the many windows there is always a view of the green space or the NW Austin hills. The apartments are larger than most places. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They knew everyone's name and stories- you could tell that they cared. But the residents were the real treats. They were so welcoming and happy to talk. The residents seemed more involved here than at other places we visited. Dad was so happy to hear about the discussion groups and the wine socials.

The front desk staff are rude. The lobby is aged. You cannot hear the TV due to the loudness of the staff at the front desk. The hallways are dark with no outside natural light.
