I Visited This Facility
We really enjoyed Heritage Village, especially because my friend has a friend there and that made things even better. They allow the dogs. There was really nothing that we weren't very satisfied with. We liked the decor. The staff member who assisted us was fantastic. She did a very good job and made us feel very comfortable. We were ready to move in. I didn't see any activities, but I did see good walking spaces.

Description of Heritage Village
Situated in the Rio Grande Valley, Heritage Village was built in 1998 and renovated in 2004. Our community is 70 miles west of San Padre Island and the Gulf of Mexico in an area that features world-class shopping, fine dining, bird and butterfly watching, many types of live entertainment, fine art galleries and international trade. Our well-landscaped campus, which has two residential buildings and a large common area building, is just minutes from the Valley's most reputable hospitals including HCA's Rio Grande Regional Hospital.
Heritage Village is a proud to be a part of the Holiday Retirement family of communities. Founded in 1971, Holiday Retirement provides residents a one-of-a-kind lifestyle in an accepting community of neighbors who feel like family.
While residing at our community, residents enjoy their stay in either a one- or two-bedroom apartment. Each of our premium accommodations come standard with complete kitchens, individually controlled heating and cooling systems, walk-in closets and balconies or patios. Storage spaces are also available upon request, and we welcome small pets that are 15 pounds or less.
For a good book to read or just a peaceful moment, our on-site library is a great choice. Tasty treats are offered in our ice cream parlor, and we offer the use of our private dining room for entertaining visiting friends or family. Outside, residents enjoy access to numerous paved walking paths and our heated swimming pool.
To help guarantee that time spent here at Heritage Village is as enjoyable as possible, we provide housekeeping services for all accommodations. As needed, transportation services are also provided for residents to reach appointments. Activities of all sorts are held throughout the week, and can include fitness programs, community socials, educational programs and more.
We understand that each individual is unique and that needs may change over time. Holiday does not provide any health care services. However, residents are welcome to receive services from any outside home health care provider of their choice to help them continue enjoying life at our community.
For excellent retirement living in South Texas, Heritage Village is a great choice.
