Heritage Place is very nice and very clean. It is a little difficult to get to in terms of its location. The people are nice. Except for the telephone and cables, they would pay for everything else. The pricing seems high, but I don't think it is when you take everything into account.

I liked Heritage Place. The halls were short on either side of the elevator, which I appreciate. The apartments looked nice. We didn't go into the dining area. We just kind of looked in it through the door and it looked nice. I liked what I saw. The biggest draw was it's the closest one to where my friends live and my church. I didn't see anything that I was really against when I visited. The staff member was very gracious. She was sorry that she wasn't expecting me. My daughter was with me, and she showed us one- and two-bedroom apartments, and if I can afford it, I want a two-bedroom. She's very good about explaining everything to us. They had a place outside where smokers can gather.

I Visited This Facility

My visit at Heritage Place was very good. The lady that I talked to was very nice. It was very clean and looked very good; it was great. They were having 3 meals a day and changing linens and washing once a week, which was very nice. They were in the process of updating and restoring a lot of things, so it looked very nice. One of the things I said was that I really do not want to give up my refrigerator, and she told me that they can work around that; that was nice. All of the amenities like the meals and people to check up on you 24 hours a day were kind of comforting that you can just call on somebody to help you if you needed to. I was very pleased with it. The people were nice, and it was very appealing. My biggest thing was that I wished the apartments were larger. They have a lot of other things that other places don’t have.

Things seem to be on the downhill at this facility which needs updating badly. Some rooms have problems with no hot water but nothing has been done to correct the problem. Food quality is poor and menu combinations leave you wondering who dreams them up. Staff seems to lack any motivation to be of service. If you're looking for quality this is probably not a place you'll be happy with.

This is really a fabulous facility. Love the open lobby area. The staff are all so very friendly and helpful. The front porch is very inviting and lined with rockers so an individual can just sit in the shade and rock the day away. The dinning room is large and accommodating. The facility is clean and seems to be well kept. The apartments are very nice and roomy, love the bay windows.
