The lady at Brookdale Castle Hills was very friendly and very good, but she couldn't answer the financial questions, so she introduced us to the lady who could answer them. However, I felt that that lady brushed us off. It felt like she didn't have time for us. The first lady took us on a little tour and we liked it. The rooms felt very roomy and very comfortable, and then she took us to talk with the financial lady and it went downhill from there. They had a daily schedule of activities on the bulletin board. They have a piano, checker boards, and different things like that. They serve three meals a day and also some snacks. The lady who helped me tour the place was fine, very gracious, answered as many questions as she could, and introduced us to people. The first lady was the best, but the financial lady was not. The facility was very nice.

Brookdale Castle Hills has both assisted living and memory care. It was very clean, they had a lot of activities, and it was reasonably-priced. The staff was really attentive, and the person that I worked with would keep in touch to check if the search for a senior community was still going on or not. The rooms were big enough, and they had shared and private rooms depending on availability. What I liked was the big common room in the memory care area, so you can't get lost. It was beautiful outside with a nice patio and it was also locked down.

Brookdale Castle Hills was gorgeous and I loved it. It's very clean, the nursing staff is very caring with their patients in the memory care unit and it was small. Of all the ones I've seen, it has been my favorite. The way the rooms were built, it's not one long hallway. There were two short hallways with the dining room in the center. Their activities were done in the center of the building. It was very nice and I was very impressed with it. They had different activities for the residents. They have a library and activity rooms. The place is very well lit, clean and well-maintained.

This is a good facility for seniors looking for assisted living. The area is not great, but the facility is well-maintained. There are a lot of security measures in place to make sure that seniors experiencing memory difficulties are safe and secure at all times. When I arrived to Brookdale Castle Hills, I saw some of residents sitting outside. A few of the residents were going to their cars. During my tour, I was told that a few of the residents have their own transportation and travel to and from their appointments independently. There are a large number of residents who need transportation, and the facility provides it for an additional cost. The amenities include a media room and an activity room. I also like the floor plans here because some of them have a patio area, and the rooms remind me of hotel resort suites. There are options when choosing a room, depending on availability. Exercise plans and memory care is also offered. I knew a resident there who, despite a great staff, decided that she did not want to participate in any more activities. We could not figure out what was bothering her, but I wish that more activities were in place to peak her interest and participation. There are many activities here, but I would like to see more volunteer opportunities and activities that offer more variety. The staff at Brookdale Caste Hills work hard, and they are very professional. There was a person at the front lobby area that greeted me and was very friendly. I was pleased with this facility, and I recommend this facility for seniors who prefer a quiet lifestyle and a place where they can live independently while receiving assistance as needed. This place is not fancy, but it is functional. There are a lot of great people here; staff and residents. The meals remind me of meals prepared by my mother... made with love. There is a certain ambiance in an around the property of calm and serenity. This facility is not upscale, but it is a great place to call home.

This community had some kind of change in director and all the people that were doing a great job left resulting in a newly substandard care. This is not a community I would recommend anymore at this point.
